There are some things that jolt us back to reality and remind us of the difference between accountants and the rest of the world – the month of May is one of them.
In laymen’s world, May is when the summer starts. It’s when the rose buds pop out of their green hoods and the cricket’s swansong makes a comeback. But for accountants, May marks the celebration of a different kind. It’s when the collective accounting community has the one and only thing on their minds – Accountex 2019!
It’s the time of the year when hundreds of us, from all over the globe come flocking to The Excel, London to celebrate all the best exhibits, presentations and discussion panels of our industry. And this May at Accountex 2019, we’re proud to announce that QX Accounting Services (QXAS), will also be joining the bandwagon along with the masterminds of the organisation to revel in the spirits of Accountex.
2019 is different for everyone. The constant hubbub, combined with the ever-increasing power of social media, has led to this year’s Accountex to being bigger and better than ever before. And walking hand-in-hand with the cavernous scale of the gathering, QX will be setting up an eye-catching exhibit at stand 1273, at the heart of the gargantuan spread at the Excel, London. Our Executive Chairman Chris Robinson, Group Commercial Director, Frank Robinson, UK Country Head Pom Chakravarti along with our Business Development Manager Parth Prajapati are all eager to share the QX story amongst the community, our peers; and to invite new connections to be a part of our journey.
Being a veteran participant of the event, we’re used to be being the showstoppers of the night. But this year is even more special – we’ll be launching our brand-new ‘Making Tax Digital’ service to help revolutionise the UK tax system. Our MTD service has been introduced in response to talent shortages and how MTD and Brexit is altering the accountancy landscape.
As both delegates and exhibitors at Accountex 2019, QXAS hopes to jostle with the enigmatic and enthusiastic crowds and keep the energy alive. We will also be hosting a series of competitions with prizes and giveaways to further add spark to the innovation and liveliness that brews in the air of Accountex.
Moreover, following the wave of digitisation that has hit the accounting industry, this year’s Accountex will tackle major movements like disruption and change. Dynamic keynote speakers like Theresa Middleton and GoProposal founder, James Ashford will be discussing issues like digital transformation, AI and open banking – that are swiftly making their way in business.
Over the years, Accountex has evolved to being more than just a night to gather and celebrate the progress in the industry. It is to shake us by the shoulders to realise the movements and trends that have made way into our industry. It is the time of the year when we navigate through the exhibits full of exciting ideas, opportunities and people instead of navigating through arcane tax rules and policies.
It’s nights like these that set us apart from the rest of the world – as they drowse off to the sweet summer breeze while we stay wide awake celebrating the new challenges, successes and braving the disruptions.
