Those solicitors are hot-rods when it comes to driving! There is no telling what they will do next. If only they drove more sensibly. You know, like accountants!
Well here’s your reality check! They are better (if not worse) drivers than accountants.
Accountants, someone people trust with their money and lives, are rapidly gaining a reputation for being the most accident-prone drivers in Britain, according to a new study by 1ST CENTRAL. The research, based on industry-wide data of a million motorists, found that accountants top the league of shame with their involvement in more than 16,000 accident claims in 2015.
Other seemingly thoughtful professionals were not far behind, with solicitors - said to be responsible for 15,000 claims – at number two, closely followed by financial advisers at number four and bank managers at number seven.
And if you trusted medical professionals with a car on the road, think again. They seem to be getting worse. According to the survey, doctors moved up the list by six places, from ninth last year.
Worryingly for commuters who take the train, the list also includes train drivers at number ten. Meanwhile, those who perceive the ‘white van man’ to be selfish and inconsiderate on the road might need to reassess their thinking. It has emerged that, along with roofers, builders, carpet fitters, painters and decorators, van drivers are the nation’s most cautious motorists.
Did your profession make it to the list? Let’s find out. Here’s a list of worst drivers.
If you spot your profession in there, you should hang our heads in shame!
Now for the list of safe drivers you can rely on:
If you made it to list of safest drivers, you should give yourself a pat on the back.
Pete Creed at First Central said: "People often have preconceived ideas about how certain professions behave on the roads. Our data dispels a number of these myths, but it's interesting to see that a number of professions we trust with our safety are actually the worst on the road."
